Backing a PMS Theory
The syndrome may cause back pain
(HealthScoutNews) -- Pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) may be linked to back problems.
A group of Australian chiropractors examined a group of 50 women who suffered from PMS and compared them with a control group. They found that the women with PMS had almost twice the rate of neck and low back tenderness, low back muscle weakness, and limited neck motion.
The chiropractors' suggestion, according to the Journal of Manipulative and Physiologic Therapeutics: Try spinal manipulation for PMS.
